Welcome to Woodside
Woodside is among the wealthiest small towns in the United States. Past and present residents include the CEOs of Sony, Symantec, Charles Schwab Corporation and Intuit. The late Steve Jobs and Shirley Temple Black both called Woodside home at one time. The town’s intentionally small business district includes a few restaurants, a grocery store, a saloon, a hardware and horse tack store, an art gallery, a home and garden store and a post office. Horses are part of the local culture and the town government maintains a network of horse trails. The town is also popular among local cyclists and draws them in large numbers on weekends. The nearest cities and towns are Portola Valley (4 miles), Atherton (5 miles), Redwood City and Menlo Park (6 miles), San Carlos and Palo Alto (8 miles).
