Welcome to Sunnyvale

Sunnyvale   is the seventh most populous city in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is the nexus of research, development and manufacturing that created Silicon Valley, and many high-tech companies are headquartered here, including Yahoo! (5,000+ employees). It is also home to Lockheed Martin (with 7,000+ employees, it’s the largest employer in the city), Honeywell and Northrop Grumman. Many distinguished educational institutions — Stanford University, San Jose State University, Santa Clara University and the University of California — are within an hour’s drive. Sunnyvale is one of the few U.S. cities to have a single unified Department of Public Safety, where all personnel are trained as firefighters, police officers, and EMTs, so they can respond to an emergency in any of the three roles.
