Sherborn is a small community (4,100 pop.) whose residents are proud of its rural heritage, which is evidenced by active farms and orchards, winding tree-lined roads and extensive open space (more than 50% of the town’s area). Because all properties have individual wells and septic systems, minimum house lot sizes are one, two or three acres, depending upon location. Sherborn has a small town center with a restaurant, gas station, two wine stores, a Walgreen’s, a Dunkin’ Donuts, several churches, a library, and a community center. (The Natick Mall is five miles north, and downtown Wellesley is 6.5 miles northeast.) Residents are passionate about volunteering their support for town projects, and are committed to maintaining excellence in public education – their local high school has often been ranked #1 in the state. Sherborn is primarily a bedroom community, located approximately 25 miles southwest of downtown Boston.
