Redwood Shores  is an affluent, planned, 1,500-acre waterfront community that is part of incorporated Redwood City. It’s located just east of Highway 101, and borders Foster City (north), Belmont (immediately west), and San Carlos (south). To the east is San Francisco Bay. The community is populated with luxury homes, townhomes, condominiums, and apartment complexes, many of which surround artificial channels and lagoons and have private docks. Throughout the different neighborhoods there are dining options (including the acclaimed waterfront restaurant Mistral), shopping centers, and recreational facilities. Redwood Shores is home to the worldwide headquarters to Oracle, and Electronic Arts, one of the biggest video game manufacturers in the world.
