Welcome to Pacifica

Pacifica  runs along a six- mile stretch of Pacific Ocean coastal beaches and hills, lying midway between San Francisco (12 miles north) and Half Moon Bay (12 miles south). It’s often hailed as the most panoramic, beautiful coastal town in the Bay Area. Because Pacifica evolved as several separate beach communities, there is no town center; instead, there are several small retail and commercial centers interspersed among 12 distinctly different neighborhoods from north to south. Residences include cliffside condos, converted summer cottages, small bungalows, custom-built estate homes, Cape Cod-style homes from the 40s, apartment complexes overlooking the ocean, and more. Some homes feature ocean views, others valley views, and some boast both. The city is home to world-class chefs, musicians, artists and others who prefer the tranquil surroundings of a seaside community, yet enjoy being within easy access to downtown San Francisco.
