Welcome to Milpitas
Milpitas is a booming city of 67,000 residents in Santa Clara County at the northern end of the Santa Clara Valley, which runs south-southeast from the southern tip of the San Francisco Bay. Dubbed the “Crossroads of Silicon Valley,” Milpitas is situated north of San Jose and south of Fremont at the eastern end of State Route 237, at the northernmost section of the South Bay region. Although Milpitas translates to “little cornfields,” the city is anything but. Many major corporations are headquartered in community, offering residents a wealth of employment options. They include: Maxtor, LSI Corporation, Adaptec, Intersil, FireEye, Viavi, SanDish, Cisco and many others. Milpitas’ ties to Silicon Valley have resulted in excellent public schools, such as Milpitas High School, a California Distinguished School. These amenities, as well as a wealth of recreational opportunities and great shopping and dining, attract many intellectuals and professionals to Milpitas, making it one of the most affluent and desirable places to live in the Bay Area. Prospective residents will find historic Mission Revival and Craftsman-style homes, as well as luxury townhomes and upscale apartments.
