Welcome to La Grange

La Grange (pop. 15,610), which was voted “Best Downtown” by Chicago magazine (2009) and “Top Transit Suburb” by DePaul University (2012), boasts superb examples of residential and commercial architecture from the late 19th and early 20th centuries – so much so that the village is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For many years, downtown was one of the busiest shopping areas outside of the Chicago Loop. Today, residents can shop, conduct business, visit a movie theater or library, shop at a weekly farmer’s market, and enjoy a meal, all within walking distance of their homes. The village is less than five miles from the world-renowned Brookfield Zoo and 18 miles west of the Loop.
