Glencoe

Welcome to Glencoe

The Village of Glencoe (pop. 8,894) is located along Lake Michigan, and its bluffs overlook the lake. Visitors often describe the village as a charming place that’s far removed from the hustle and bustle of the big city (although it’s only 20 miles north of downtown Chicago). One of Glencoe’s many architectural treasures is the railroad depot, an 1891 landmark building; the village also is home to the third largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright-designed homes in the world. Glencoe enjoys a superb school system, cultural advantages, handsome housing stock, beautiful parks and many recreational opportunities. In short, Glencoe offers the charm of a smaller community combined with sophisticated amenities.
