Welcome to Fremont

Fremont (approx. pop., 220,000) is the fourth most populous city in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the largest suburb in the metropolis. The city comprises numerous distinctly different residential areas and is ethnically diverse. It is home to the largest concentration of Afghan Americans in the country, and has significant Asian Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Pacific Islander, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Spanish, Portuguese populations. Fremont also has a large Deaf community, in large part because it is home of the Northern California campus of the California School for the Deaf. The city’s employers are the Fremont Unified School District (3,000+) and Tesla Motors (3,000+), which is located in the southern section of the city.
