El Cerrito is situated on the eastern shore of the San Francisco Bay and comprises part of the greater San Francisco Bay Area. It is located immediately north of Albany and Kensington, east of Richmond annex, south of East Richmond Heights and west of the Wildcat Canyon Regional Park. El Cerrito’s hilly coast is one of the most coveted places to live because it offers unparalleled views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. The community, which is known for its many parks, spectacular hiking trails and thriving arts and culture scene, is also home to a variety of annual events, including the July 4th Festival.
